Key Event
Fifteen years ago a group of caring people in our area
came together to raise funds for The American Cancer Society. Led by Patti
Alderson and Debbie Boehner, the event raised thousands of dollars and
became what is known today as the Key Event. Their vision was to provide
a venue to bring the community together for an evening of fun and raise
money to help those in need at the same time. Today, the Key Event raises
more than $100,000 hosting 500 guests. The money raised at the Key Event
allows the Foundation to fulfill its mission of facilitating charitable
dollars through its grants to nonprofit organizations serving our community.
This year our Premier Sponsor North Ridge Realty Group and Presenting Sponsor Clark-Theders Insurance Agency Ins. hosted the 15 th Annual Key Event on Saturday, September 13th. The evening began with a cocktail party at the Savannah Center that included a silent and live auction, basket raffle, diamond raffle and much, much more. Upon arrival, guests randomly picked a key that opened a miniature door that revealed their dining location - one of the 30 host homes in the West Chester/Liberty. Each home featured a talented chef who prepared wonderful meals for the attendees. After dinner, all guests were invited to an after-party at the home of the Foundation's Board Chair Patti Alderson and her husband Dick. Thank to our 450 guests the Foundation had our biggest year to date raising more than $111,000.
