West Chester Liberty Arts Council Fund
Established in 1996, The West Chester Liberty Arts Council
has a history of assisting and fostering artistic opportunities for the
residents of West Chester and Liberty Townships. Performing art groups,
such as the orchestra, community theatrical companies and community choruses
for both children and adults are some of the groups of the West Chester
Liberty Arts Council.
Activities involving the arts continually become
of more interest to the community. As examples; Freedom Fest, sponsored
by the multicultural visual arts brought together art displays from many
countries and Home for the Holidays has been a musical celebration at Christmas-time
for the last several years.
The arts encompass all ages in our community.
Our senior population has become involved in the visual arts. Our children
have become involved with the Children’s Performing Arts of Lakota
(CPAL). CPAL is a new group which offers theatrical, chorus and strings
programs for Lakota area kids. Developed with the guidance and seed money
from West Chester Liberty Arts Council, CPAL continues to grow.
The goal
of the West Chester Liberty Arts Council is to serve as an “incubator” for
arts organizations. They assist individuals with identifiable arts projects
and help them reach their goals through the experience of our volunteers
and the Council’s financial backing. The West Chester Liberty Arts
Council strives to enhance the community by providing quality arts programs—symphony,
orchestra, theatrical, dance and sculpture.
