The Community Foundation Welcomes New Board and Advisory Board Members
At The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty Annual Dinner Celebration on April 19th the following were introduced as new members on the Foundation’s Board of Directors
Kelly Bramel
Kelly is a Financial Advisor on a small specialized team at Merrill Lynch. Kelly adheres to a disciplined process that delivers a consistent yet customized wealth management experience. She reviews every piece of her client’s financial puzzle including portfolio monitoring and management, preparing for retirement, assisting with transitioning into retirement, insurance, wealth preservation and estate planning. Kelly’s clients benefit from the teams’ combined 50 years experience. The team prides themselves not only in their unique process, but their outstanding service model. Kelly and her husband, Eric, live in West Chester with their two children, Jake and Zach. Kelly has been involved with The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty since 2009 and is an active member of the Rotary Club of West Chester/Liberty.
Gail Jackson Miller
Gail has been a resident of West Chester for 33 years. She is originally from Ft. Thomas, KY. She obtained an undergraduate degree from Eastern KY University and an MBA from Xavier University. Gail worked for GE Aviation for 32 years. As an executive manager, she was responsible for global sourcing, contracts management & quality for aircraft engine components. Prior to her early retirement in 2005, she was responsible for compliance and business practices for worldwide supply chain locations. Gail lives in Beckett Ridge with her husband, Kent Miller and her dog, Miko. She enjoys her retirement wintering in Florida, traveling, attending theater & ballet, reading, cooking, spending time with her family & friends, working out at the gym and continuing her training in tap dancing. Gail began volunteering her time with the Community Foundation in 2004 and has participated on the Key Event host home and live auction committees. 2012 will be her third consecutive year chairing the Key Event. She is looking forward to serving on the Board of the Community Foundation.
Karen Rolcik
Karen, owner of Rolcik Law Office, has practiced for over 25 years in the areas of estate planning, probate, elder law, and business and tax law. She counsels individuals in the management and distribution of their property during their lifetime, at death and after death. Karen also counsels business owners in the formation and operation of their businesses including the creation and implementation of succession plans to preserve the value of the business after death. From 2008-2012, Karen has been recognized by her peers as one of “Ohio’s Super Lawyers.” She was also recognized for her work in Trusts and Estates in 2011 and 2012 by being named a "Best Lawyer in America. “ Karen is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. In addition to her support of the Community Foundation/West Chester Liberty, Karen supports and volunteers at a variety of local charities. Karen is particularly active in the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association having served on the planning committee for the Walk to Remember in Butler & Warren Counties since 2009. Karen and Rosie, her pet therapy dog, visit with patients and residents at area hospitals, nursing and retirement homes.
William “Bill” Schumacker
Bill is a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for the Huntington Wealth Advisor division overseeing the Cincinnati & Lexington markets. He has over 32 years of management experience from various regional banks and has been at Huntington since 2003 located at their Rookwood office in Norwood/Hyde Park. Bill has three units reporting to him: Trust Administration & Portfolio Management, Private Banking, and Wealth Brokerage. He received his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. Bill is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and also has a Certified Corporate Trust Specialist designation from Cannon Financial Institute. Bill is a past President of the West Chester Rotary Club and past Chair of the Administrative Board for St. Mark’s Methodist Church. Bill has been married to his wife, Lynne, for 31 years and they have two adult children, Bryan and Sarah.
Dan Zieverink
Dan is currently employed by Fulton Communications. He has been a resident of West Chester since 1967. A graduate of Lakota High School, Dan has an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Southern Ohio College. He and his wife Jenine reside in West Chester with their 4 children, Josh, Katie, Emma and Ali. Dan served on the West Chester Parks research committee along with coaching youth sports for the last 18 years. He also coached Lakota West Freshman football for the first two years of the school’s existence. He has stayed involved with the schools by serving as the head of various fundraising events including the West Girls and Boys yearly Golf outing. In addition to the fundraising, for the past nine years Dan has also done the color commentary for TV broadcasts of the Lakota West Football and Basketball games for West Chester Community TV.
Tom Daskalakis
Tom serves as Chief Operating Officer for West Chester Hospital within UC Health. He has over 20 years of hospital operations experience with a sound background in business development, facilities management and organizational efficiency. His prior roles include being a Vice President of Business Development for Miami Valley Hospital; Chief Operating Officer for Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan and as a Vice President of Clinical/Support Services for Kettering Health Network. Tom holds a Bachelors’ degrees in Biology from the University of Cincinnati. He also has a Masters degree in Hospital and Health Administration from Xavier University. Tom is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is engaged in several professional organizations including the ache.org Editorial Board, Dayton Local Program Council, and served on the Regent Advisory Council for the Michigan Healthcare Executive Group and Associates. Tom is also involved in many community and civic activities, such as Cincinnati Cancer Family Care Board Member, YMCA of Greater Dayton Board Member, and Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Parish President. Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys.
Frederic J. Holzberger
Mr. Holzberger is the Founder, President and CEO of Fredric’s Corporation, Essential Concepts LLC. and Aveda Fredric’s Institute. From 1985 – 2005, he was the Exclusive Distributor of AVEDA Environmental Lifestyle Beauty Products in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan. Mr. Holzberger holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Understanding marketing and practicing it in its truest form, the relationships with salon customers, retail consumers and cosmetology students has been nurtured through the integrity of a single line focus and the commitment to education and communication through networking with state of the art technologies. Through his focused marketing plan, Frederic has received numerous, prestigious industry and business awards and appointments including the Ernst and Young Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Entrepreneur of the Year in 1998. Most recently Frederic has received the Aveda Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame and the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) Hall of Leaders.
Ray Murray
Ray has served on the Lakota School Board since January, 2010. The father of two Lakota alumni and a daughter who attends Lakota East High School, Ray lives in Liberty Township. Ray received his bachelors degree in criminology from Huron College with a minor in economics. After college, Ray served as a police officer in suburban Chicago for 15 years and as a United States Drug enforcement agent for 8 years. Currently, Ray services as a hospitality manager and helped write the curriculum in Hospitality Management for the University of Cincinnati. Ray also served as a Board representative on the Butler Technology and Career Development Board of Education.
Loren Schramm
Born and raised in Hammond, Indiana, in 1974, Loren moved to Greenhills where she attended high school and met her future husband, Steve. Both attended Bowling Green State University and upon his graduation in 1980, they married. Currently living in Four Bridges, Loren and Steve have celebrated 32 years together and raised three children Corey, Ryan and Nikki (Andrew) Stewart. Recently, they were blessed with their first grandson, Blake, who is their pride and joy. For 25 years Steve and Loren have worked side by side nurturing a commercial interior contracting business, OKInteriors, from a bedroom startup to a 25 million dollar a year company with more than 150 employees. Active in WEBENC and NWBOC, Loren has served as President for the past five years. Last year was Loren’s first year to work on the Live Auction. Loren and Steve were responsible for the newest feature of the Key Event and Community Golf Classic, the Wall of Wine.
Tim Sheeran
Tim is a partner with B2B CFO, the nation’s largest Chief Financial Officer firm, with over 200 partners in 40 states, providing Part Time CFO services to owners of emerging to middle market companies. Prior to this Tim spent 25 years in executive, financial, treasury, accounting and operations in a number of industries, most recently heavy construction equipment distribution. Tim was the CEO of Moxy Trucks of America, LLC in Lockland, Ohio which was the North American subsidiary for an European owned manufacturer of heavy construction equipment.. Tim holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cincinnati. His CPA certificate is active in the State of Ohio. A native Cincinnatian, Tim has been a resident of West Chester since 1990 and is active in his community, serving on various profit and non profit boards and enjoys his time playing golf and coaching grade school basketball. He and his wife Kathy have been married for 21 years and have 2 children, Kelsey a junior at Lakota West and John a freshman there as well.
Greg Stamp
Greg has been involved in the West Chester/Liberty community since being recruited by Procter and Gamble in 1969. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated with a B. S. in Civil Engineering in 1969. Greg and his wife Diane have one son Chris (Shelley) two daughters Elisa (Mike) and Sarah and 5 grandchildren. Greg’s career with Procter and Gamble included participating in the design and construction of the Sharon Woods Technical Center, project management at three manufacturing sites and numerous assignments as a Cost Engineering manager in the Foods, Bar Soaps, Chemicals and Beauty Care businesses. He has coached basketball, baseball, soccer and volleyball teams and was Treasurer of the St Johns Booster Club. He served on the building committee for the St Susanna’s church now known as the Meyer Center. Greg enjoys music and has sung with several church choirs as well as the Delta Kings and Southern Gateway Barbershop Chorus’s holding Board roles with each. He is also a commercial rated pilot and for several years volunteered his time and aircraft flying charitable Angel Flight missions of mercy throughout the Midwest.
The Foundation would also like to acknowledge Brenda Frazier, Jonathan Theders, Richard Flynn, Ron Rosenbeck and Tom Holding for their years of service on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Richard, Brenda and Jonathan will continue to service on the Foundation’s Advisory Committee. The Foundation would also like to recognize Jim Breech, Dick Clarke, Carl Renneker and Larry Schumacher for their time and service on the Foundation’s Advisory Board.
