Heroes' Fund
The Heroes' Fund was established in the fall of 2007 to benefit local military families in financial crisis. The Heroes' Fund provides one time financial support for any military family, current or honorably discharged, whose primary breadwinner has served in a combat zone or, if the serviceman/woman is unmarried, to the parents or family members with whom he/she resides and to provide grants to various veteran's non-profit organizations. This fund is available to qualified persons residing in Butler, Warren and Hamilton Counties or to non-profits serving this group of qualified residents. This fund is not to be used for scholarship purposes. Qualified applicants must complete The Heroes' Fund Application form to be eligible for this one-time grant, and all decisions made by the Heroes' Fund Advisory Committee are final.

Community Foundation West Chester Liberty’s Heroes Fund raises over $18,000 dollars to benefit local combat veterans.
The Honor-a-Hero Program and the Heroes Celebration were a huge success raising money for our local combat veterans. The Honor-a-Hero Program which was generously supported by Taco Bell: CTI Restaurants, Inc and Uno’s Chicago Grill raised more than $5,500 by selling Honor-a-Hero flag cards for $1 at their restaurants. This program not only raised money to help our combat veterans but gave the community a way to show every veteran how much they are appreciated. Taco Bell: CTI Restaurants, Inc and Uno’s Chicago Grill announced at the Heroes Celebration that they are going to run this program three times each year, Memorial Day, Labor Day thru 9/11 and Veterans Day.
The Heroes Celebration Fundraiser, featured a dinner and dance, was held at the Savannah Center on Saturday, November 14th. The event raised $12,000 for our Combat Veterans. More than 200 guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner and music by the Tom Daughtery Orchestra playing Tommy Dorsey and Frank Sinatra. Save-the-Day for our event next year which will be held on Saturday, November 13th at the Savannah Center. The Heroes' Celebration event will feature the same band playing music from the 60’s and the event will honor those who served in Vietnam.
The Heroes Fund is currently assisting a 87 year old WWII veteran who served on the USS Independence when it was bombed in the Pacific. His home in need of major repairs and he is in need of new glasses and dentures. The Heroes Fund is working with local businesses to help this family. With the help of the community and business partners the Heroes' Fund is able to make a difference in these deserving veterans lives.
