Glen E. Mieling Scholarship
Glen
Mieling had a passion for living and a love of science. Glen was
a senior scientist in the Pharmaceutical Division at Procter &
Gamble. His insight and intelligence allowed him to make many valuable
contributions, including pending patents, in the area of drug design and
development. Outside of work, his great sense of humor and vitality endeared
him to family and friends. Glen was liked and respected and admired by
all who knew him. Glen's untimely passing in February 2002 saddened his
family,
friends and co-workers.
The fund awards
a $2,000 scholarship each May to a Lakota West Senior who has excelled
in the sciences and plans to major in chemistry or another science in
college.
