Friends of Liberty Parks & Recreation Fund

pThe Friends of Liberty Parks and Recreation have been organized to create, enhance, and preserve the parks, green space, and recreational facilities of Liberty Township. FLPR spent hundreds of hours on their project, the Fort Liberty Playland on Van Gordon Road. They are now trying to raise funds to provide the playland with a shelter. The current FLPR project is the reconstruction of the Gregory log cabin located in the William F. and Cora Dudley Woods Park on Hankins Road. The Gregory log cabin built by an early settler of the township in the late 1700s, was dismantled. FLPR is now working with Butler Metro Parks to reassemble the cabin, which is located along the bank of Gregory Creek.

FLPR has started the Friends of Liberty Parks Fund with the Community Foundation, for more information on how to contribute the fund contact us online or at 874-5450.
