The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty Scholarship
Fund
In 2001, the Education/Scholarship Committee of
The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty set out to create a
scholarship fund that would provide financial assistance for college
to any high school student who had sufficient need. This Scholarship
Fund, open to any student in the West Chester/Liberty area, is for students
who wish to attend a trade school, two-year technical or community college
or a four-year college or university. The goal is to give a helping hand
and hope for the future to every child who wants to continue their education
after high school.
Each year, two students from West Chester/Liberty received a $500 scholarship.
Those students are encouraged to reapply each year for additional support
in their pursuit of their higher education.
Donors interested in
providing matching funds for these scholarships, raising the amount to
$1,000 for each student, can call the Foundation office for additional
information.
