Harold Draut Scholarship
Harold Draut was a Lakota educator for
almost 30 years. He was a member of the Hopewell Elementary staff from 1968
until his untimely death in August of 1991. Mr. Draut was a caring,
sensitive, trustworthy, understanding and unselfish man. His sense of humor
and humble spirit endeared him to everyone. He was a true reflection
of his school's theme "Hopewell Has a Heart".
The Harold Draut Scholarship Fund awards
one $750 scholarship each May benefitting a student at Lakota East or a
student at Lakota West High Schools.
